Bitcoin Banking from All Angles
Recent shifts in the USA regulatory environment seems to have given the idea of Bitcoin banking a boost from all angles.
On the one hand, crypto giants like CoinBase and Square are showing interest in pursuing banking licenses. And on the other hand, traditional banks are showing interest in providing bitcoin services to their customers.
The demand for Bitcoin banking seems likely to be a growth area for Bitcoin Commerce in the years ahead. And the services that get developed should be a huge benefit to Bitcoin businesses too.
Galoy, the company originally behind the Bitcoin Beach Wallet, looks ready to go with software services built to support this new industry.

What are Bitcoin adoptions biggest obstacles?
Check out this great article in Bitcoin News where they asked a wide variety of industry leaders what is holding back Bitcoin as a payment system.
The consensus seems to be that the obstacles to adoption are not technical, but rather education and acceptance by people and businesses.
It’s something that’s been on our minds lately too, as a Bitcoin business. We always offer our clients the option to pay with bitcoin or with traditional payments. Especially in low fee environments, bitcoin is a hands down winner for us. Even accounting for exchange fees to pay bills and keep the lights on:
It’s cheaper
It’s faster
It’s international
Seems like it’s only a matter of time until more businesses catch on to this and we start seeing more “Bitcoin preferred here” signs on windows and websites.
