Bitcoin adoption is on the rise in South Asia, particularly in Pakistan, which boasts a population of around 250 million.
Despite a lack of regulatory clarity, the interest in Bitcoin as an inflation hedge and global payments network is growing among Pakistanis.
We think Bitcoin adoption growth on the subcontinent is a potential windfall for Bitcoin commerce due to the size of the market, the amount of freelancers demanding bitcoin for international payments, and the huge amount of technical skills that could drive innovation.

Could AI lead the future wave of Bitcoin adoption?
Joe Lonsdale, co-founder of data analytics firm Palantir Technologies, believes autonomous Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems could become avid Bitcoin buyers.
AI agents, armed with emerging authentication token tech like L402s and micropayments, could unlock all kinds of new use-cases for Bitcoin Commerce.
While native Bitcoin AI agents are still bleeding edge, they could spark a significant surge in adoption and the Internet of Money.
